To be honest, I have a Target addiction that probably absorbs a big chunk of my income. Regardless, we have a good combined salary...We try to save, but still order food occasionally...Chinese, pizza, etc...We didn't 'make' nearly what I paid for our wedding. That really took a toll on our savings, and since I decided to go back for my doctorate I have to figure out how to put $800 a month towards that. ![]()

I've been feeling the same way lately. I think we are still recouping from the wedding and now with a baby on the way I feel like we'll never have the chance to save up for the things we want.
I started going over our budget again and I realized that we were spending way over our budget on food (mostly eating out) and I had some car expenses last month and this month that hit me pretty hard.
I would say you should probably do something similar - review all the 'little' things you've spent money on in the past month and add them all up - I bet they'll add up fast and you'll see where your money's going.

My biggest problem is when I send out checks for bills, and I forget about them. But it really pisses me off like now when I check to see if a few checks went through that were sent out nearly two weeks ago, and they're still not debited. How long does it take? That's why I assume it's taken out, and it's not, and then a few days later, there's money missing.
