A shower thread is a good idea
Maybe your bridemaids can help you do it? There is SO many things for you to do already with the wedding!

If your wedding is in September than the shower should be some time in August. You can even do it towards the last week of August - if you like. Overall, though, it doesn't matter. You can do it when ever you like.

I think you can start to plan in June and you'll have plenty of time. Some basic things you'll beed is:
1. Invitations
2. Place (food)
3. favors
4. Decorations
5 Some people get Band/DJ - you don't have to, I don't think I will have that at mine .

If you do a search online, they have lots of different shower games for you to play.

I would think about a shower sometime in late July, early August. I don't know where you are looking but the Garden Grill is a great place for showers. You can have lunch or brunch and it is very pretty. It is located in Smithtown.

I heard the garden grill is really nice. I've never been a fan of shower games, but my sister had a time clock and she would put in on while i opened my presents, and set it for a couple of minutes and when it would go off, whoevers present i would open would get a prize......people liked that...
