I think that's a good idea, don't worry about it, you don't sound like a Bridezilla.

I really don't like STD's. I figure you have 2 1/2 months notice from the invite- if you can't be there, oh well. Basically everyone I know knows the wedding date so if you don't mark it off on the calender, I don't feel badly.

I didn't think about the point you mentioned but I think it's safer not to send STD notices. I'm not sending mine...less to worry about

Re: I think I'm not sending out STD's...
I didn't do STDs either. My wedding is in July, and I only began planning in January, so I figured it didn't make sense. I called people who I really want to be there (aunts, cousins, etc.) and told them the date. Instead, I'm sending my invitations a little earlier (by mid April) to give people more time to plan.
You know, I've been to many weddings over the years, but I don't think I've ever received an STD. Maybe I've always been B list and didn't know it!

I didn't do STDs. By the time I picked my hall & date, there was only 6 months until the wedding. I had too many other things to worry about!

Re: I think I'm not sending out STD's...
we are thinking about STDs only because we're getting married the day after Thanksgiving and don't want to surprise people who make plans to go away for the holiday two months before the wedding. Otherwise I don't think you have to do it...I don't think i've ever gotten one.
