Re: best and worst wedding favors??

One unique wedding favor I received was a pine cone ornament painted silver which I admit I thought was a bit odd! Until the bride explained that when she first moved to NC she had a huge pine tree that kept dropping pine cones all over the yard. So one day when my friend Mike was visiting (they were dating less than a year at that point, and he was still in school w/ me in PA), she told him she would give him a kiss for every pine cone he picked up while she was at work. He apparently picked up hundreds, and it became this inside joke - she said that when she came home she realized she had to marry him b/c she would be have to be giving him kisses for the rest of their lives to keep her side of the deal.

my brother and sister-in-law gave a bag of pistachios with a label that said Joe and Meghan are 'nuts' about each other...

everyone was eating them on the way out!!

Best: A silver plated bottle opener

Worst: A plastic spoon with two hershey's kisses in it wrapped in tulle. I ate the kisses and threw out the spoon.

I always like donations in lieu of favors - especially when the couple has a particular connection to a charity or cause.

and anything edible is always appreciated!

I agree - no worst!

Best has got to be soon2bmsz's wedding. We got a table picture in picture frame, full size bottle of wine with a wine stopper, fresh bagels, creamcheese and coffee on the way out and a air freshener in the car. Now that is what I call awesome favors!

Awwww Thank you!!!!

You shouldn't take it personal ..everyone has different tastes. I happen to think thats a REALLY cute favor idea!!!!
I saw a lenox leaf candy/jewlery dish that I am going to show my SIL! I think it would be cute for her Sept. wedding!!

I went to a wedding where they didnt have favors, but the had a bunch of hersheys kisses in a clear candy jar with a tag saying kisses from the bride and groom. They were YUMMY! I like the idea of pistachios too! Anything chocolate - me likes :)

Re: .

as i did my favors i took into account people may put things in the china closet & not really use. so i went with personallized chocolate. The placecards stand was a last min BMM
