I got about 5 of those back and my invitation read 'ADULT RECEPTION IMMEDIATELY TO FOLLOW'... Come on people how hard is it to READ!!!

I think we will have to write it in bold, all in caps, and put lights around 'ADULTS ONLY' in order for people to actually get it!

WE had that happen but they responded with MR, MRS and 4 children!!!!! Hello!!! Their names were never mentioned! Then a week later (while I was still in shock) she called my MIL all apologetic that 2 of her kids wouldnt be able to come because they started camp that day! In the end we let the other 2 come for sake of family! It worked out fine!

Some people though, they just dont get it!

get this...we sent an invite to DH's cousin..address to Mr. & Mrs. Doe...

response read: DH + husband + son + son + son's girlfriend + son's girlfriend + girlfriend's kids + girlfriends kids

so an invite that went out for 2, came back with a response for 10!!!!!!

Of course I immediately called her and said, um sorry, but the invite was for you and your husband, not the entire family!!!!!!

When I sent the STD...i wrote in that we have decided to have and adult reception and we will not be inviting child....hopefully since they had 10 months notice they will not RSVP for the whole family

better yet....2 months after my wedding Ils went to a wedding in FL. Well the couple who 'invited' their own kids were there.

MIL was talking to the husband/dad of the kids, (it was his SILs wedding) so he tells MIL he is going to take the kids home early so his wife can stay longer 'afterall a weddign is no place for children'

Yet your SILs wedding ended at 5 and mine ended at midnight but MY wedding was a place for UNINVITED children!

oh jeeez! what is WRONG with people??!!

I just can't wait to see the responses I get

almost everyone we're inving has young children and we're only inviting 2 pre-teens to our wedding (his niece and my cousin)
