thanks Jackie, I really hate that I have to work with such righteous b1tches. I'm just trying to remind myself that it's not me.... thank god only 1 1/2 more hours then I am outta here!

I'm so sorry Helena! And on top of that, you have to deal with SAPanese all day. I DON'T miss SAP, that's for sure.

NO WAY!! No more managing ed for me!

I had an interview last week, I am waiting to hear back on. ANd two yesterday. One was a no-go. I found out today that I wasn't the right 'match' and one was a managing ed position at S&S to see if Managing ed was any different/better at another house and although it is different and better than Penguin's man. ed. dept. it reconfirmed that I don't want to be in that area of publishing anymore.

Any good positions open at RH these days?

hmmm, I haven't checked in a while - the last few I applied to were in the Garden City offices at Bookspan... haven't heard anything back though, and I would really love a copywriter job that's been up there for quite some time now! There's always a ton of Editorial Asst. positions open, although I think that's more of a step backwards from Managing Ed.

As a whole, I think RH is probably one of the best publishing places to work for. I'm pretty sure we offer the highest entry level salaries, awesome benefits and perks, ridiculous amount of personal time/vacation, not to mention all the free books, of course :) I know anywhere else I might not be making as much, so until omething with more money comes along - I'm here for the time being!
