your not being irrational. it s**ks that there is bad timing and unofortunately, you have to accept it, but its perfectly natural for you to be anxious about it and bothered that they are making jokes. just remember, people often make jokes to hide there nervousness, so they are probably stressed about the situation to. try not to think about it!

I definitely think you are being irrational IMO. I highly doubt that will happen. I'm sure her baby's birth is just as important to her as your wedding day is for you. Just relax. Rarely are babies born on their due date

Are you serious?...this is the birth of a child...both are important but one is not more important than the other. Each thing is important to each of them. It's monumental either way. The fact that they are joking about it would make me a little crazy but this is life! It will all work out and the wedding will be great and she will have her baby and all will be good in the world!

Keep in mind - they are just joking about her giving birth as she walks down the aisle. My cousin was due the day before my wedding and I figured it would be 10 people in her immediate family that would not show up. Everyone but my cousin and her husband were at my wedding 2 days after she gave birth. Births are just as important as weddings, don't forget that. And people will be there for you too.

This is a tough one. I can see how this may upset you but I do not think they are making these jokes about her giving birth to hurt you. They are probably just as uncomfortable with the situation as you are and are making bad jokes to mask it.

I think by them saying she will give birth coming down the aisle..is a JOKE!! Do you think they want her to give birth in a aisle of a church????
They are probably just making light of it....You cant let something like this stress you out...I would also speak with your BM and let him/her know what is going on and if you know the day before, can they take them off the head count...They may make an exception..

Well if its her first baby- chances are she is going to be late. Most first babies dont deliver on the due date. You are being sensitive to a sensitve issue, i would just try to remain calm, think about something else. wether she has the baby on that day or not, the other people there are there for you, and im sure if the circumstances were different they would be there for you enitrely. Try to stay focused, and keep smiling- there is a wedding and a new baby to be happy about.

Don't worry it will all work out. My cousin went through the same thing last month. Her sister which was her MOH was due to give birth a couple of days before the wedding. She wound up going into later 2 weeks before the wedding and was able to make the wedding.
