When we say cheap, we mean FREE! So, DH and I go to the Holtsville Ecology Center...It's a free little zoo-thing, with lions, bears, eagles, etc. It's fun. Other times we go to the beach or his parents beach house. I like feeding the ducks and gulls at the beach.

Don't laugh...We like to ride ste Staten Island Ferry back and forth. We used to do that when we were broke teenagers. Now that we are broke adults, we still like it!

We strap on our rollerblades, picnic backback filled with goodies and go down to Central Park.

We like to hang out at the bookstore just reading magazines and browsing through books. We spend hours there!!

We'll sometimes just sit on our deck with a couple of beers or a bottle of wine and just relax.

ETS- I'm realizing that most of our dates include some kind of alcohol! I wonder if that means something?!

Go to our parent's houses for dinner

Drive around the rich neighborhoods and look at houses

Go to my brother's deli for free sandwiches and then picnic

Picnic in the park (although DH doesnt' really know the meaning of simplicity and drags along the portable BBQ that he bought in Home Depot for $8, but then shipped to England but I digress...)

We went to see David Blaine trapped in ice as a cheap date in NYC

Going to watch the roller bladers/skaters in Central Park

we like to walk around & do that!
For cheap but not free, bowling is good!

As is the Central Park Zoo.

We shop & don't buy a lot too. Esp in bookstores & elcetronics stores.

And if we have more time, like a weekend day, we go walking in the Rockefeller Preserve or tour one of the historic homes in the Hudson valley.

we walk down port in port jeff by the water and enjoy the scenery walking on the boardwalk looking in stores and even starbucks coffee to enjoy!
