When I came back from Italy, I slept for about 20 hours.

going West. Usually I try to time my east-ward trips so that I can sleep through the time change. Going west, though, it messes me up no matter what I do.

It's not so bad going East. I just end up getting up pretty early for a few mornings. Going back to London is always hard. I try to stay up and go to bed at the same time I normally would, but it's hard.

Both would make sense to me too. It's the time change messing with your circadian rhythms, right?

um, I have no idea what that is?

Re: Jetlag

The trick is to dupe your body into thinking that it's not tired at all by filling it with sugar and caffeine for 10 solid hours!!! Oh and DON'T lay down!!!! That's the clincher!

it's the natural sleep cycle of your body. It's like your body's internal clock telling you you're tired, or energetic etc.

ahhhh, I get it now, thanks :)

I think it's both too. Coming back from France knocked me out. But so did coming back from Bora Bora.

Jet lag going to the Philippines is the WORST. they are almost a day ahead. France wasn't so bad.

I would think that would be easier, just forget a day & move on with your sleep cycle ! The flight must be tough though.

Everyone is totally different .. I know a bunch of people who go on trips that would leave others crying about 'jetlag' .. but they never are effected.
