that is really rude to complain about that. your fiance should ahve said to them are you going to pay the difference for a saturday night since it seems to be a problem for you.

VERY rude!!!!!!!!!! my FH's family said the same thing to his mom when they found out we're getting married on a Sunday.

they can kiss my @ss!

Personally, if I were coming in from out of town (like they are), I would MUCH rather take off a Monday than a Friday.

Well just keep in mind it's his opinion and he's entitled to it and your entitled to what you want it is your day! As far as FH dont worry once the initial shock wears off he'll comeback to reality and see you guys made the right choice for you! When the weddings over ask him what he thinks then Im sure he'll say he wouldnt have done anything differently.

Mine was on a Sunday night and it was great. If people didn't like it they had the option to stay home, no skin off my back

My FFIL complained because he felt mine was too EARLY on a Sunday. I just say, unless you're paying you have no say.

i know exactly how you feel because i am in the exact same situation as u are. i chose to have wedding on sund cuz i luved the hall so much but sometimes i think it was a mistake and i worry that people wont come because of the day. It IS a lot of money to spend and not have the wedding on sat night. i guess we wont know until its over if it was the right decision.

you said it perfectly!!! it is a lot of money to spend and not have it on a saturday- all in all- we are spending well over what we planned

I was concerned too at first about doing a Sunday--but who cares what everybody else thinks. It's your day and you can't make everyone else happy--people always find things to complain about.

People will always have their opinions about your wedding. I got married on good friday and was told I wasnt a good catholic, how dare I get married on easter weekend, Friday night weddings are not fun...etc!
Our wedding was perfect and people still talk about it. Even people who made their comments. I had good friday so I could afford Flowerfield and I dont regret it. Your day will be perfect too! Tell them to shut up. LOL

eh screw them...we are a sunday night wedding too and people made a face but hey we are paying for it...it was cheaper for a sunday night...i dont care what people think anymore and if they have a comment they can shove it LOL....as long as YOU and the FH are happy it shouldnt matter!
