I think flirting is OK, but I don't think everyone does it. I am a terrible flirt- I feel like such an idiot doing it.

I agree. I can't flirt. I feel stupid or too agressive. My best friend, on the other hand, is a super flirt. She is happily married for six years but she still flirts with all of the cute guys, including her husband's cousins. It's all innocent, but she really has a knack for it!
