Re: Yasmin?

It seems to be that people either love it or hate it - there's no in between.

I hated it. It made me edgy, it gave me severe mood swings, and insomnia. I searched for common side-effects on the Internet and found that it gave a lot of people anxiety/anxiety attacks. Depression (probably from the mood swings) is a common side effect as well.

But then again, some people love it - have lost weight from the diuretic properties of it and have said that their skin has cleared up from it as well.

How about taking Ortho-Cyclen instead of Ortho-Tri-Cyclen? That way you have a steady monophasic birthcontrol pill, but aren't changing the type of artificial hormone that you are taking now.

I was on Ortho Try Cyclen Lo and got many yeast infections. I have been on Yasmin for a couple of years and dont get them anymore. I have no problems with it.

You mean taking Ortho Tri Cyclon? I'm on Ortho Cyclon right now. That anxiety part is very intersting, I am on medication right now for anxiety. I wonder if Ortho Cyclon causes that too.

Any pill I was on, I tried about three, gave me severe anxiety. I have given up on the pill, which is a pain..but the anxiety was worse.

I had the EXACT same symptoms as you. Thought i was going out of my mind on yasmin..i did research to find thousands of women who suffered so badly on that pill. I switched back to Loestrin and the anxiety/not being able to breathe feeling went away. Some girls do great on it but i didn't at all.

I switched to Yasmin because of spotting too and I've had no problems with it. I went on it when it was still pretty new, so I guess that was like 5 years ago or so.
