My dress maker can make one for you if you have something in mind. It only takes her a few weeks (most a month) but I'm sure she can do it in a shorter time span if necessary.

She charges $500 approximately w/material.

I was going to say the same. Or even sometimes, if they don't have your size on the rack, you can order them pretty quickly. My dress came within 3 weeks.

2. J crew (internet)
3. The Davinchi line (which can be bought at RK Bridal) some dresses can be ordered in 2 weeks. I think this is your best bet if you want a big gown.
4. There are a couple of second hand stores in Manhattan: Vow Bridal and I think Bridal Garden.

Also consider going to Saks and Neimans and just buying a white dress.

I think I read a post earlier where someone got ther dress at Estelles and walked out with it that day! Not sure which thread or who it was.

So I hate the dress I ordered and even though it's hanging in my house I will not wear it for my wedding in 53 days. I need to go to a shop that has dresses that I can walk out with. I'm crazy stressed! Any suggestions?

Definitely David's Bridal or Jessica McClintock in the Mall. Could do samples if you happen to wear an 8 or 10 you won't need much in alterations and you'll have a ton to choose from

Someone mentioned if you go on a Saturday morning in Manhattan, there's a place where you can buy off the rack. I think it's on 38th and Broadway, someone posted the exact address here on a thread earlier.

Me too! I think this one is REALLY beautiful !! But if you don't get that I LOVE IT feeling, then I would have looked for something else too.
