Maybe if you tried a hotel rather than a catering hall? Maybe they won't mind who is cooking.

Re: Please suggest halls for me!
Wow, thats tough.. the only kinds of places I can think of that would allow this are Knights of Columbus of VFW halls. Perhaps there is a park that would let you do this... or someone's home..

Yeah! Its YOUR wedding!!! THEY had their turn! You should do it the way you want to. If you dont let them know now you may have trouble with a lot of decisions in the future. It is your life and you will do what you and FH want.

I think that some of the wineries out east let you do your own catering. Check it out!

I think Deseversky will allow you to use outside caterers. You should give them a call - the place is beautiful.

Yes, I think you should do what you want.. Do your parents and FIL realize how much food they will have to cook?

Wow that is a tough one. You could always rent a really nice hall or tent and have them cater the food.

Re: Please suggest halls for me!
try state/town owned buildings. if you go to town & parks department (town and/or state) you can find list of buildings that you might be able to rent out as an individual (without caterer/event planner).
good luck!

You are right!!! They will be so busy and the quantity is immense! Way too crazy! Even for professional chefs. There children are getting married, not a TV show!. Ask them to cook for the rehearsal dinner and invite more people then.
