Thank you so much ladies! Esp SomethingBlu!!!

I was getting a little confused because ppl's TAs were telling them one thing, and I didn't see anything on Hawaii in particular on the website.

Thank you so much for clearing it up, I'm just wondering one more thing... will our drivers' licenses be sufficient enough to board the plane then?

You're welcome. And yes, it's confusing especially when you're receiving conflicting info. When in doubt, always check with the US Travel Department and your airline.

A license is absolutely OK...this is from AA.com

Security Checkpoints
At a growing number of airports, passengers are required to present a boarding pass or priority verification card and government-issued photo identification (such as a driver's license or passport) at the primary security checkpoint. In order to ensure that your travel experience is hassle-free, American now advises customers to obtain a boarding pass or priority verification card before proceeding through the primary security checkpoint at every airport. We want your travel experience to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

OK, so I'm the stupid one here, if I am flying to the Bahamas in April 2006, I do NOT need a passport? That will save me some $$....

It starts 12/06, but if you can, you should get one just in case. It can't hurt. The Bahamas is not the same as Hawaii (but you know that already ).
