Definitely, we have had our little girl from when she was a few months old and I will not say its easy. I think the hardest part was the potty training, but we made sure she went out right before we left in the morning and I made sure I went straight home after work (DH is in the city).

I think its possible but it might be tough. We got our puppy when I went to Grad school so I was home all day while my then FI was working and home at night while I was at school. Good luck

yes it can work, its the beginning training that will be very difficult, to get through those first few months, you may want a dogwalker to come midday. Orrr you make even want to consider adopting a dog that is already trained, it would be a service to both of you

Shelter dogs make the best pets. You can start by doing a search on petfinder.com or just go down to your local shelter.
I leave the house around 7:30 DH alittle after me. The earliest I get home is 6 but most of the time its closer to 7. DH is anywhere from 5:30 to 6:30
I wont lie, in the first few months it was tough. Dh would come home at lunch for the first 3-4 weeks to let her out! And although it only took maybe 2 weeks to housebreak her (she was 11 weeks when we got her) we often came home to a mess because she got herself into something she shouldnt have! and let me tell you that my little 15 lb dog managed to move a 7.5 foot christmas tree clear across the living room every day for a month! but now that she is over a year old she is an angel!
It is very do able to get a dog even if you work! but honestly you might have to fib to the shelter to get them to let you adopt! Alot of them wont let you adopt a puppy if you work all day and wont be home with them at all!

If you're up to it financially you can even check out puppy care. Its like day care for your pet. This way they also can socialize with other animals.

Absolutely, you need patience though. We crate our puppy when we are not home. She loves her crate, it is filled with all her toys and she thinks of it as her 'home'. When she was little she peed in the crate maybe one or two times, but what she did more often was as soon as we got home and let her out of the crate to take her outside, she would pee. I think it was a mix of her being excited to see us and also having to go really bad. They say for every month, they can hold it for one hour. For example, if your puppy is 4 months old, she may be only able to hold it for 4 hours. If worse comes to worse and they have an accident, you clean it up. It's not the end of the world. just remember, do not punish them if they have an accident !!!
good luck

Of coarse,
I leave at 10:50, go home at 3 for an hour, Fh is home by 6:30 then they stay out til; I get home at 11:00
I think it's more important that they're on a schedual
