Re: really need your help - FMIL and kids at the wedding

I would have him deal with it. He should be the one to tell her over and over again. I find that if you deal with your parents and he deals with his, it's for the best. He should tell her there are no kids and the decision is final. If she keeps asking ignore her or when the question comes up change the subject. Eventually (hopefully) she'll get the hint, and stop asking.

definitely let him deal with her...sounds like she is acting like a 3 year old herself....you know, the old, 'if I torture then enough by asking 8 billion times they are bound to say yes to get me to shut up!' LOL

good luck. and stay firm- it's not fair to everyone else taking the time (and paying the $$) to get a babysitter.

I am going through something strangely similar,

I have to wait for FH to get back from a business trip on Friday morning so I can re-align his backbone!

Until then I am ignoring his mom and sisters.
Yes,I am a selfish b!tchy bride. MY DAY! I only get one...

My FH told me to ignore her; he'll deal w/ her. But I know that it's STILL not the end of it That's the worst part. It's unending.

Dude, I totally hear you. Keep inmind that FH's Parents are paying for the wedding. Ugh.

I am trying to get out of Rosh Hashanna dinner with them tomorrow, since FH is not around... I think I might tell them I got some Puertorican person illness, like, I miss my island or something, silly as it sounds considering I was born/raised on the Island of manhattan... I need a drink!

My FH and I have a deal. He deals with his family and I deal with mine. Mind you he deals with his family by NOT talking to them, or visiting, or calling, or anything else. He rather most not even come to the wedding ie... his mother. I had a post about my inlaws questioning me with the wedding and the girls here gave some great advise. Your not alone in dealing with inlaws. Just try to avoid them.
