Gosh, she sounds as though she is trying to avoid being apart of your wedding. That is so not nice on her part. Try calling her to find out what is the real reason she is acting this way. I can't believe your friend is doing this to you. I only hope things will be resolved between the two of you.

Good Luck!!! Try to keep a positive attitude.

The messed up thing is that I have given her so many 'outs'! I have told her that I would not be upset as long as she is just there that day. If she wanted out, why hasn't she taken me up on it?

I understand your plight completely honey but some people are just plain selfish. Consider it this way that it is her lost not yours. Try to call her and talk with her so that you can fully understand what is going on with her.

I would call to find out the real reason for the harsh e-mail b/c it doesn't sound like you haven't been there for, but rather she is looking for a way out of your BP w/o looking like the 'bad guy.' It seems the dress issue was a bit of an excuse too.

Good luck in resolving this, but it may end up with you having to suggest she not be in the BP, b/c it doesn't seem like she will say it outright to you.

Cut your losses now.
If it was me, I would tell her-sorry you feel this way. I think it is better if you are not in the bridal party because this is a very important time in my life and I need all the support I can get. I cannot be worried about hunting you down to get things done. I want you at the wedding to celebrate with me, but maybe it is for the best if you are not in the party.

Sorry you have to deal with this

I agree. You do not need the extra stress of a Bridesmaid-zilla.

Wow, are you sure we don't have the same 'friend' I did not ask mine to be a BM but she is doing the same type of crap your friend is doing. I totally agree, cut your losses now.

I have decided to stop making any effort at all with my 'friend' and if she calls or wants to hang out, fine but I refuse to put forth anymore effort. I am praised by friends and colleagues for always being the one to keep in touch and keep everyone else in touch (I have a huge e-mail list) so I know it's not me just like it sounds like all of this is your friend and not you at all.

I agree. Then decide if the friendship is worth it.
