Re: Small Wedding Help!
I know WaterMill has a small reception room in the back with a dance floor.
Also, the Three village Inn. That has a small reception room.
There is a really nice place in Setakuet called the Friendship house. I have been to a party at it. Also, my FH cousin had her wedding there. It is a old house. It has a nice quaint reception area with a dance floor in the middle. I love the place! There is a lake across the street, and a park within walking distance. The place is right off of 25A, I forget the name of the road. FM me if your interested, I can try to get you there.

I believe the chateau Briane (sp) closed its restaurant to accommodate smaller weddings... This has a dance floor... You should call and see what the minimum is.

DJPill had a very nice wedding for 45 people at the Swan Club. Look for his 'groom's review' on the review board!

Did you look at Country Gardens at East Wind? I have never been there but heard it is beautiful and perfect for a smaller event.

I too went to a small wedding at the swan club, it was very nice, had a dance floor & being that it was around the holiday season was decorated, it was a warm and cozy place to have an intimate wedding reception.

Re: Small Wedding Help!
A friend got married at the LaGrange in West Islip with a small number of guests. I was not at the wedding but I've been there for dinner and the facility is beautiful. I'm not sure if there's a dance floor but you can always call and ask.

Re: Small Wedding Help!
We're having ours at 21 Main in Sayville. We're only having 72 people. They take a minimum of 50 in their downstairs room and a minimum of 35 upstairs. It's very classy and the food is great.

Re: Small Wedding Help!
Also try the Gatsby in Islip and the Riverview in Oakdale. They also accomodate smaller weddings. I was very torn between the Riverview and 21 Main. I checked out the Neighborhood House in Setauket also and to be honest I thought it was very run down looking. We kind of got creeped out by the house. Just my opinion though. It would also require you doing alot of decoration. Three Village Inn also did small weddings.
