I think that's a great decision. I know how you feel. FI's parents aren't involved at all, nor do they seem like they want to be. I've had no contact with my FMIL about anything involving the planning process. A part of me feels really bad, but a part is also upset b/c I want to feel like they want to be part of it. I wish they would make some sort of effort. but I know I should too. I think you've inspired me. I might just follow in your lead here. Let me know how your email and phone conversation go.

I see what you're saying. I'm thinking I might send them a long email, chock full of info and then tell them we'll call over the weekend. I wouldn't be able to call until tomorrow, anyway, because of the time difference, and this way they can digest the information and we can have a conversation about it all. And I'll be less likely to chicken out!

I totally understand what you are going through my IL regardelss if its MIL FIL SIL or what inlaw it is none of them seem into it at all unless they are trying to tell me that I should do this and I should do that
