Thanks for the advice, ladies!

Editing because I'm a paranoid freak (and because I know that there are random non-brides who are reading my posts).

Re: The old friend who doesn't acknowledge that you got married question

I am the type of person that would try to contact her. If I didn't hear from her after that, then I would let it go.

I would try to contact her only bc there might be something troubling going on in her personal life. It seems strange that after 13 years she would just drop off the face of the planet like that, I'm afraid that something might be up and she doesn't want to ask for help. As a friend you should extend your support. If after that she proceeds to behave this way, then you can think about cutting her loose. GL!!

I would contact her, just to see if everything is okay.

I would contact her to see if everything is ok as well, especially since nobody has heard from her in your circle.

It seems kind of odd that she couldn't leave town and nobody has heard from her.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I would check in on her to make sure she is okay...seeing that the behavior is a little out of character. I know you are disappointed you haven't heard from her (I would be too) but at the same time maybe there is something going on in her life that she's dealing with. HTH!

I would contact her in a less direct way. Why not drop her an email and say..you wanted to see how she was since you haven't heard from her...and you can add a few pics from the wedding and tell her you wanted to share them with her...

That should generate some wedding talk....

You know something similar happened to me...a good friend of mine from high school just completely stopped keeping in contact with me and another girl...we later found out that she has joined the 'Landmark Forum'...ahem CULT... we spoke to her a few months ago but we really lost her...
