We are getting married in a greek church...but we do not need to do anything like pre-cana...We do meet w/ the priest but that's it.

I am orthodox but I am getting married in a catholic church b/c FH is catholic so I have to go to Pre-Cana.

Consider yourself lucky b/c the greek church does not require that.

I am greek and my fiance is greek. We have to go to ' greek pre cana' lol

I think every greek church is different. Its really the priest who makes the decison on weather or not you need to do pre cana.

So i guess You might just have to go through with it.

I AM CATHOLIC AND MY FH IS GREEK ORTHODOX.
I DONT KNOW ABOUT PRE CANA IN THE GREEK CHURCH I KNOW I HAVE TO GO ... I'M HAVING A CATHOLIC PRIEST AT THE WEDDING. ... WOW I REALLY SHOULD FIND OUT HA?
IT'S BASICALLY THE SAME RELIGION BUT EVERYHING IS SO MUCH MORE COMPLICATED IT THE GREEK CHURCH ... I THINK

The Greek church we're getting married in now does!

And I had to do pre cana through my Catholic church to get permission to marry in the GO church.

It's frustrating because the religions are virtually identical but we're having such a hard time doing it!

I am getting married at your church we don't need to do anything....I am Catholic and not converting..we met with our priest (Father Luke) when he came over our house (we live together)....and that is it...
