He took me to Puerto Rico this weekend!!! He said that I was too stressed and needed the break.

I figured it was cheaper than hiring a wedding planner.

We drove me around during work hours for all of my interviews this week. Then today I had the car, and because I was running around all day and forgot to eat, I came home and nearly passed out. I opened my eyes and he made me a PB&J sandwich. Goes to show you, it's the little things that count.

But so much for my giving up bread for Lent!!

I sleep in on weekends if I don't have to work and this past weekend we had FH's son. He's 10.

FH makes me breakfast in bed once in a while and brings it to me on these nice wicker breakfast in bed trays I bought with flowers. This weekend his son was here and helping him cook breakfast and when he saw FH putting my food on a try his son asked if I was sick (since only sick people get breakfast in bed ).

FH told him that I was not sick but that is how he should treat his wife when he gets married since women like that kind of thing. His son brought me my tray (and he came back with the juice since he thought he might spill it on the tray).

Such a great man

Ok...Janet Jackson song in my head!

Ok...I can honestly say I'm blessed with a wonderful, caring DH.
My Mom passed away 5 years ago on 2/13. One of my favorite flowers that remind me of my Mom is stargazer lillies. I come home on that day and there's a big beautiful bouquet of stargazer lillies, a card, my favorite picture of my Mom and a beautiful Mom e-mail I rec'd a few weeks prior that brought tears to our eyes... here is just a small part of it:

Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She's the smell of certain foods you remember...flowers you pick and perfume that she wore. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well...she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep...the colors of a rainbow. She is Christmas morning.

Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she is crystallized in every tear drop. A mother shows every emotion, happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow, and all the while hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy...but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space, not even death!

Yeah. He has his Mr. Mom moments.

He had the chance to go to the Academy Awards this Sunday, but he could only get one ticket, so he decided not to go because I couldn't go with him.

Funny you should ask......I Cooked turkey meat loaf the other night. I packed it for his lunch today and me as well.

Well I sat down to eat it and it was terrible!!! OMG it tasted so bad! I called DH and asked him if he liked it.....he was like it was great! I loved it!

LOL I am like Hon- it's ok I know it was terrible! LOL I tasted it! So he giggled and said I will help you cook next time!

It was very sweet!

He drops me off in front of my job almost every morning. Last week he took me to California Pizza Kitchen. He gave me money 2 weeks ago to do my nails.

Is is the little things that count though.

He waits inside the subway station for me when I come home late from school... It can get shady that late so he makes sure he is there just in case.. I sound like a cheeseball but when I see him waiting for me my heart leaps - I have never felt safer with anyone else.

That is beautiful I am sitting here crying over that and it makes me miss my Grandma more too. The house she used to live in was up for sale and last weekend my sis and I went to the Open House- it brought back a lot of memories

FH and I work together, I get to go home while he has to stay for the night shift. Every night he walks me to my car. It's the little things!

The other night the both of us were feeling sick. We got into bed and he rubbed my head until I fell asleep.

Today he dropped me off at the train station and picked me up later on so I wouldn't have to drive in the bad weather..and we only live a two minute drive from there!
