I didn't see your earlier post - is your Dad giving a check for the minimum even though you are under - or is he paying for..say 10 less then your required minimum?

I am sure your dad/stepdad won't be the first people to argue with the hall. I am sure he is used to it, I am sure the guy will not be shocked. Try to keep everyone calm. It is not the end of the world, simply apologize for their behavior to the hall on the side??

Don't worry about it! We didn't make our minimum either, and they asked how many kids and vendors we have and that counted toward the min. We only would have gotten the discounted price if we met the minimum.

We still didn't make our minimum even with kids and vendors, so they gave us an upgrade to make up for the money we were giving them anyway.

I feel like all I've ever done so far is apologize for them - they are very difficult...

OK - I have to remind myself the following 2 things:

1. This too shall pass - after tonight, I'll be done with the big payment stuff with them

2. It's not like the wedding will be cancelled or anything - too late for that - it's on Saturday

FH and I might get a little buzz going before we head over there tonight!!!!

We'll certainly need it!!!

They may be flexible. Offer you upgrades or something. How many did you guarantee? They let me guarantee only 100, which is low. SO they might be flexible.

After we did the final count, turns out we did make minimum after all, and Matthew was very professional and wasn't sweating it too much with 1 or 2 under the minimum.... most important, my parents were cool - thats what I was most stressed about!!!!
