My shower was the day before my wedding. My rehearsal dinner was the same day as my shower. LOL I wouldn't recommend this approach.

my shower was 1/9/06 and my wedding was 3/4/06, so about 2-3 months

I had a few showers before my Sept '06 wedding. The first was planned and that was in April '06, the next was a 'surprise' in July '06 and the last one at my office was 1 week before the wedding.

I think you'd be safe in planning one for August in May/June.

My shower was a little less than two months before. The shower was the beginning of April and the wedding the end of May.

For me, Shower was April 30, wedding June 25

For my SIL's friend, Shower will be on Feb 25, wedding will be on May 5

my bachelorette party was the night before... i don't recommend this, either

My first shower was July 29 and my second one was August 26. 3 & 4 months before the big day!

My Shower was April 22, and my wedding was July 7!

It worked out AWESOME because me and DH moved in together April 12, so we only had 10 days to work w/ like no appliances! LOL!

my wedding was oct 21 and my shower was may 21.... i was not too thrilled about it....as nice as it was it was too far away. the logic was during the planning was to avoid the summer when people were away and to throw me off. in the end i found out and was annoyed that it was so far away...

does that make any sense?
