his family is so ridiculous-i cant even believe it.
last nite we went to his sisters-where his mom lives durin the week-so they were all there-

his father went out for a min-so his sis says to him 'so...did mommy tell u the situation?' n dh said yea...did u find any results yet? n his mother was like (so casually) 'no.....maybe sometime this week'.

and that. was.it. then we got harassed to go upstate next weekend to their house-

its like priority #1-gettin ppl to come to their house
#2-finding out if he has cancer

im disgusted....and im not spending my day off up there to sleep on a freakin blowup mattress.

it saddens me-bc if it was MY husband-i would keep hounding the docs to see what is wrong. obviously, if you are throwing up everything you eat-soemthing is wrong.

sorry for the vent-but tahnks for asking!

Wow, I can see where that would be frustrating!!! Maybe they're just trying to down-play it bc they're not yet ready to deal with reality, ykwim.

And I wouldn't want to sleep on a blow-up mattress either.

Hope his test results come out ok!!

update-we got the results on sat-he indeed, does have gastric cancer...we dont know the stage yet, but we do know he has to go for the surgery(almost the same as a gastric bypass) and also chemo....

aaawww, my prayers are with you - I'll pray they caught it early!

I am sorry to hear that.....My father had gastric cancer in 1992....they removed 2/3 of his stomach....he now leads a healthy life just needs to watch...he eats about 10 small meals a day....he is currently in a hospital but for different reasons...

so there is hope...your FIL will be fine...
