To do an entire wedding (planning to execution) most charge a percentage of the total cost, some charge a flat fee and some charge an hourly rate. The cost is usually in the are of 10% of the wedding but it depends on your budget.

To do just day of coordination - there is a huge range. You can find some junior consultants who will do it for a few hundred dollars and some really experienced ones who charge you a few thousand.
