My 'wish' list...

1. Egypt (never been)
2. S.A. - Dubai (never been)
3. Italy (again)
4. Spain (never been)
5. Croatia (never been)

I am going to Florida in a few weeks w/the best friend to just VEG the heck out. Trying to plan a trip to Morroco for the end of the year.

My favorite place that I ever visited - Lebanon - and it's probably b/c I'm Lebanese but I seriously fell in love w/the country. It's freakin' gorgeous! I want to buy a 'summer' house on the beach in Joone and shop along the gorgeous botiques in Beirut. It's called 'The Paris of the West' and it seriously deserves that name!

Wow, you ladies have been all over!! Unfortunately, I never got to travel much and don't think I'll have much of a chance considering the cost of things.

My #1 vacation so far has been to Hawaii (Oahu) for my HM!! I want to see the other islands tho.

I also NEED to see Italy at some point in my lifetime.

Switzerland
England

My sister is a teacher and spends her summers volunteering/teaching all over the world. Her goal is to visit all 7 continents and is slowly chipping away at her goal. Needless to say I am very jealous!!!

i went there when I was 9 or 10 - it was one of the most amazing trips of my life - I'll never forget it.

I'm glad I got to go to Thailand.

I used to want to travel all over, but realized I wouldnt be able to with my financial situation, and especially now getting ready to have a baby.... oh well...

Re: Join me in my wanderlust

Katie&Chris, I have the same goal as your sister, to see the 7 continents.

I've been to:

Paris, France
Nassau, Bahamas
Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea
Cairo & Alexandria, Egypt
A bunch of places in the Philippines

The only one I wouldn't visit again is the Bahamas. It just isn't for me.

DH wants to go somewhere when he graduates next summer, so it's his choice. I just asked that if we end up going to Asia that we stop by the Philippines to see my family.

My sister is bent on going to India, so I've started saving $ to take her when she graduates from college.

I'd love to go to South America. I'd start at the bottom, at Ushuaia, Argentina and work my way up, stopping in Peru to see Machu Picchu and lake Titicaca, Ecuador to see the Galapagos, and the Pantanal in Brazil.

Daydreaming about these places keeps me from going insane.

My parents do this in the winter. They started a few years ago and it really is not cheap at all! They bought a 39 foot 'third wheel' as they call it, a new diesel truck that can handle towing the monster, and set out across the country.

They've seen some great things and my father especially loves it. But it costs much more than they ever anticipated.

yeah its so crazy bc back in the 70s/80s that was the 'cheap' family vacation. . . but now it is ridiculous

we definitely plan on doing it one day - but just not as newlyweds. We love the drive down to Key West, but we want to actually stop and see some of the places next time instead of just driving through!

Must go:

5) A place that looks like Zanzibar but doesn't require mega doses of shots

You only need Yellow Fever I think and then malaria pills. If you plan to be living with the locals, you would need rabies series ( I have this - haha). All the rest are shots you should already have (childhood immunizations)

I'm afraid of the malaria pills.
