I wouldn't change the wedding date. Chances are she will give birth either before or after the due date and will be able to be there. My sis in law was pregnant and I had the same problem, but she miscarried. We figured worst case, she wouldn't be there but my brother would. I say keep the date and play it by ear. HTH

One of my best friends is due to have twins the day of my wedding, We think she'll go early. We know she won't be there and while that's sad, she has made it this far through a high risk pregnancy, so I just want her and her babies to be healthy, we have an entire life of special events to look forward to together.

In your case, I would wait until she's in the preganancy safe zone around 15-20wks - to be really safe, (you have lots of time before your wedding)—

Then I would approach them and ask them if they mind if you pick alternates for both BM and MoH, just in case. This will relieve both THEM of Stress and YOU of stress.

well you have a Dec wedding...what is the theme? just winter? if you want to change it...go with Jan maybe? still winter and its less $ (ahhh then again you are booked? not sure the hall will be willing to lower the rate!) Well anywoo...you can still have winter in Jan. Best of both worlds...dont worry that they cant make it...and have the winter wedding you wanted!

don't change the date. He is your FH's brother. Unless he has to be AT the hospital bc his wife is delivering at the exact time of your wedding, I don't see why he can't still be the best man.

However, you should swap her out bc there is no way she will be able to be a BM.

Re: Bitter sweet

I understand that maybe I was in a different situation a little, but we changed our date for that reason. I am having a destination wedding which was originally set for 5.27.07 but my sister found out she was pregnant and due on 06.01.07. She is my MOH and I couldn't imagine NOT having her and her family there, so we pushed the wedding back to September to ensure they could all be there including the new baby! But that was just us..she's my MOH.

What about making it about a month before, this way you still have the same theme and season...

Don't do anything yet! My cousin found out she was pregnant, they gave her a date, then a month later told her she was a FULL MONTH further along than they thought. Not only that, but when she got married, her sister in law was due on/near the wedding date, ended up delivering a week ahead of time, and still made it to the wedding.
It all works out.
