Re: ???
Suzanne, i don't know about a credit card account that is used for savings, but there is a savings program called UPromise, which you can link to your credit accounts, and each time you make a purchase, the company contributes a percentage to the savings account. You can also invite friends and family to join the program and help you save for your child's education. I believe the website is UPromise.com.

Re: ???
One piece of helpful info about Upromise that you may not realize, I didn't - you can link credit and debit cards (as long as the debit card has a cc logo) But make sure that you always use the debit card as a credit card (don't choose format where your PIN is utilized). I made 2 big purchases at Babies r Us and they kept not showing up in my Upromise account. Finally it was figured out - I used my bank card as a debit for those transactions and it won't give you credit for them in your Upromise account. I must've done that a ton of times I can't remember at the gas station - so now I always use the bank card as credit and told DH to do the same. Good decision to do it now - it's never too early to start saving!

Re: ???
It's definitely not a scam - look at the companies that participate. Also, don't forget if you shop online, you should access the participating stores through Upromise's website. Don't go directly to gap.com to shop but rather go to upromise.com and then click on the gap logo.Welcome New Vendors
