Re: need advice on a bridesmaid issue...kind of long

I would politely tell her it needs to be ordered by a certain date and if it isn't she isn't going to be able to be in the wedding because the bridal shop said that there is no way it will be ordered and altered in time for the wedding if it isn't placed by this date.

Can you FH try talking to her or maybe to her husband?

Don't stress over this.

If she doesn't order her dress in time then it becomes her problem when it doesn't arrive in time. You may be short one BM - no big deal.
You also never know when she will go into labor.

Is there any way you can lay out the $100 and then she can pay you back later? That's what I did for my MOH.

You're still OK tho, your alterations should only take about 2 months so you've got that extra month to play around with. If you can lay out the money for your FSIL then I would do it and get the dresses ordered. If not, tell her you need to order them by the end of the week and if she doesn't get measured she won't be able to be a BM. Plus, if she waits they're going to charge her more to rush the order, and nobody wants that!!

Good luck!!
