Re: make me feel better?

don't worry about it .. everyone has their own p.o.v and you can't please everyone ... so as long as you liked it (lets say at a tasting or something) don't worry about it

I went to a wedding at the Riviera and it was LOVELY. Don't worry - your day will be great!

Don't worry, a year is a long time.
If you are really worried, mention it to the banquet manager. I know at our RH ours was very concerned about what we had heard because it could affect their reputation.

Don't freak out. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Re: make me feel better?

I was at a wedding there back in Sept & it was great..people will always have something negative to say about something with your vendors/RH/ etc...don't sweat it!

Re: make me feel better?

yeah, it could have been a total fluke just on that day, or maybe those people like their chicken pink with salmonella

you could express your concern to the BM about it if you want closer to the wedding. honestly, a lot of places i've been to have dry chicken. i prefer it dry than getting food poisoning. however, that said, the wedding i went to recently had dry chicken, but all the other food was amazing, and i was so full anyway i wouldn't have finished my entree. following the entree was cake and a tray of dessert, so i did not feel deprived at all. worst case scenario, people will just say that the chicken was dry but everything else was amazing.

incidentally, i checked out riviera with my FH and thought the outside patio was lovely, and we just loved the dance floor with that gorgeous ceiling!! ohhhhhhhh that ceiling!

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about The Riviera....From sooo many people....Don't worry about what one person says....Just remember, you can't please everyone...And no matter what, it's about the 2 of you getting married and sharing the rest of your lives together....It will be a wonderful day!!!

No worries...I tasted the food there...it was amazing....

and you'll check out all the food at our wedding before yours anyway...that way if something isn't good, you won't get it...our wedding is a tasting for you!

That's stinky and I'm so sorry. Don't let it upset you though because everyone has their own opinion and you're never going to hear all good about something. Your wedding will be wonderful!

Re: make me feel better?

My sister got married at the Riviera in March...the whole day could not have run more perfectly. You have nothing to worry about! The food is delicious and the staff really takes care of each guest!

Re: make me feel better?

you have plenty of time and your own tasting to go to before so it'll be ok :)

Re: make me feel better?

everyone has their own opinion when its comes to food - so i wouldnt worry to much.....you cant please everyone - what you might think is delicious another person may dislike so dont stress to much.....its catering hall food and no matter how good it is, its still only catering hall food - and most likely won't compare to a five star restaurant anyway (or your Grandma's or Mom's or whoever's homecooking lol).... so dont worry!!! people will enjoy the wedding whether the chicken is dry or not! plus, ive learned that people love to find something to complain about no matter what lmao

Re: make me feel better?

I was a flowergirl in my Aunt's wedding there 23years ago. (Ok so I don't remember what the food tasted like). I'm sure they wouldn't still be in business after all these years if the food was always bad!
