i think when it comes to ex's couples need to either have a total open book policy or know nothing at all.

i think if he is still friends with her, you have a bit of a right to know what's going on. would he have said you were intrusive if you'd asked what time his best friend called? if yes, than don't worry or get mad about it. some people are just like that, but if you know he wouldnt have responded that way if you had asked about someone else...
you have a right to be upset.

It's kind of hard for me to judge because everyone's relationship is different... But I would definitely be bothered by that too...all I can do is give you some of these

I would see if it blows over then have a hert to heart later. IMO, if you ask a ? and he has nothing to hide then he should ejust answer with no hesitation. He may feel angry and thing you dont trust him, but it would just be better if he answered honestly. JMO

Good luck..enjoy your wine- hehe

you're right it seems like he possibly got automatically defensive....and I agree with the whole policy thing, FH and I don't keep in contact with our exes, period. But if you do, I think there should be an understanding that you should both be open with how you communicate with them

Re: Frustrated with FH

i just read your post on BHB and honestly if i was you i would be really annoyed...since the fact you mentioned he proposed to this girl and was turned down....i give you alot of credit for even dealing with that i dont think i would be able to deal with FH talking to an ex he PROPOSED to thats just weird to me and thats hes being secretive about it would annoy me

you always have us to talk to!

but yeah i would be totally pissed too, you have every right to be... i think there needs to be an understanding like kerri said - when it comes to ex's you are either completely open or you shouldn't keep in touch with them if you become defensive... and you're right, throwing the word 'trust' around just to hide behind it is soo not cool

i dunno, maybe it's just me... but I don't know if i COULD still be friends with an ex who i proposed to/was proposed by and it didn't work out..... JMHO
