Re: New to the 08ers!

First off congrats on your transition to 08 . As of right now you should have taken care of the basics:

Dress
hall
flowers
photo/video
music

Good Luck!!

Welcome to the dark side. lol

Sounds like you have the major stuff done. I say after the new year start registering, looking at invites, order bridesmaid dresses and pulling all the little stuff together.

Welcome to the 08 Boards.

I would just try and get your major vendors -- that is what I am working on and am only a few weeks after you!

Happy Planning!

Welcome! I think the timeline that is on this website works well as a guide as to when to get things done. It helped me, although some of the things I feel they say to do really early. You have a bunch of stuff done and that's great! You have to go at your own speed, just don't miss out on any major vendors b/c you waited too long:) Enjoy!

Welcome! Definitely have the major vendors booked - RH, ceremony location, photo/video. Start looking at florists and DJs and have ideas of what you want your dress to look like because you'll need to get that going soon. Also since you're date is now over a holiday weekend, block rooms at a hotel now.
