Re: Klienfeld's sale

I thought it started in the morn but it says it starts at 5. I want to get there at 4. You go in, find something you like, buy it at a great price.

Does anyone remember the friends episode where Monica went to the sample sale and had to fight for her dress? I'm a little scared! Do you think it will be like that -- would we even be able to try on?

i wanted to go but i am a little frightened too...if it's anything like the Barney's sample sale i think i'd want to stay away.

it goes from 5-8...maybe the last hour is better than the first? anyone know a good strategy?

I would say go dressed in your garter where you can jump out of your clothes and try a dress on right away.

thats the running of the brides, the sample sale at kleinfelds is a bit different...an 08'er went to one and said they only let a few girls in at a time and they still work with a sales person

Re: Klienfeld's sale

I've never been to Kleinfeld's, but I bought my dress at a sample sale that Monique L'Huillier was having out here in LA. I had to wait on line for about 45 minutes before getting in - and I got there around 10:30, when the sale started. Once I was in there it was packed with girls in their underwear. People were bumping into each other, but nobody was nasty. There were dresses and boobs everywhere, it was hilarious. I definitely tried on like 15 dresses and my friend found mine and waited until someone else took it off. It was QUITE an experience. I ended up getting a $5,000 dress for $500 and it's just what I wanted. It was missing buttons and had more of a train than I wanted, but that's all I'm doing to it. I may add a sash. I'll let you know how it turns out when I get a look at it on Dec 15 for my fitting.
