The first month is usually your deposit plus the first month's rent. It is really a lot all at once...

i would contact your landlord b/c i know when we rented to our tenants we got 1 month rent upon signing and then when the moved in on aug 1st their first months rent was due. that 1 1/2 months they collected was probably just your security.

chances are your have a rent payment due feb 1st
