Hey, I think that could work, as their sound would most likely resonate throughout the various rooms during CH. At the wedding we went to this fall, know that the majority of the people stayed in the rooms to the left of the stairs. The room to the right wasn't as used, but maybe that was because there was a cigar roller in the far left room. I think on the stairs would work nicely... hope this helped.
