I am still looking at houses but nothing to be found, I think I should start looking at apartments soon and give up the house hunt for a while but FH really doesnt want to rent

I know and they are getting it!! But I have been watching the market and seen a little lowering of prices as well as houses staying on the market longer, I think the prices will come down so hopefully we will be able to take advantage in the next year or so.

Some of the houses I saw didn't need a price reduction, they needed a blow torch and a bulldozer!

Those looking for apartments. Don't know where you are looking but I was at the realestate office in Floral Park the other day and the women who does apartments said she has a lot available and at good prices. Let me know if you want the number

I don't know where you guys are looking. I live in park slope brooklyn, and a jr. one br. is available accross the hall from us. I would expect it to be in the $1300 price range, plus or minus.
