MIL slapped me in the back of the head when I told her what kind of music we were having at the reception...she thought I was kidding!!! I was like 'listen lady!!'...no I didnt say that but I told her that there would be something to please everyone but that as long as me and her son were happy thats all that mattered...right? And of course she had to agree

Just remember that it's your wedding and if things aren't exactly other people's tastes, WHO CARES?! It's not about anyone but you and your FH. When people ask what food you're having, just say 'you'll see'! When they ask what music you're playing, say 'a little of everything'. If you are as vague as possible it might cut down on the unnecessary commenting! As hard as it may be, just try to ignore it!! People are stupid.

Nicole, sorry you are going through this. I had people commenting early on too. I decided the best thing for me was to tell them as little as possible. Everybody is gonna have a great time, and all that really matters is that you and FH are happy! Right?
