Also just to mention this on this thread since I got an email about it- Zazzle is still charging people that 41 cent rate for new stamps until May 15th.

Stamps

Here are the pics and lowdown on the new wedding stamps:

In 2008, the U.S. Postal Service will reissue the designs of the two 2007 Wedding Hearts stamps featuring vines that form the shape of a heart. These stamps are designed especially for mailing wedding invitations and RSVPs and are sure to add an elegant touch to invitations and response cards.

The stamps will be available in two denominations to cover both the one-ounce and the two-ounce mailing rates. Each one-ounce stamp is intended for use on the RSVP envelope often enclosed with a wedding invitation. Each two-ounce stamp will accommodate the wedding invitation with enclosures.

Illustrator Nancy Stahl of New York City based her designs on memories of a wide range of intertwined objects, including silver charms and old-fashioned garden gates. The one-ounce denomination features a sage background, while the two-ounce denomination features a melon background, as determined by Stahl and art director Carl Herrman of Carlsbad, CA.

Don't forget that postage prices are going up next week. Everyone mailing their invites in the next few days remember to add the extra 1cent stamp to the RSVP envelopes, so your guests don't have to pay for the extra postage!

BTW: Does anyone know what the new wedding stamps will look like?

BTW, if you are using the liberty bell stamps, the post office will continue to accept those 41 cent stamps after 5/15.

Oooo i like the new sage color very pretty. I already sent mine out but Ooo i would've liked that one. Also ladies dont forget about forever stamps, just in case your rsvps will be coming through right in the middle of that

just be careful bc if they raise prices again next year then those stamps wont be good anymore, well you can always add a 1 cent stamp if you dont mind doing that

yea that would stink..they should make wedding forever stamps..instead of those ugly liberty bells
