I say do what makes you feel best. There is nothing wrong with going against tradition every now and then.

Re: Mom & dad walk me down isle???
I don't think there is anything wrong with it. In fact, my parents are still married, and I am considering having both my mom & dad walk me down the aisle. I'm catholic too.

I may be religion illeterate, but I really think its cute / honorable to have both parents walk you down. Regardless of the fact that they are divorced - both your parents played a part in getting you to where you are now, and I think its very touching to involve them both walking down the aisle

I think if you feel really strongly about it that you should do it, I see nothing wrong with it.

It is not against religion ... it is only not so common, but I have seen it before, even some brides in this board have been walked by both of their parents. Do what your heart tells you!

Having both parents walk you down the aisle is a jewish tradition, however many people do it just because they want to honor their moms instead. Go right ahead and do it if thats what you want!

I'm also having my mom&dad walk me down. They are divorced and both have been so great to me so I couldn't just have on walk me down. I'm also getting married in a Catholic church so there's nothing wrong with it. I think it will be special to have them both by my side.

Re: Mom & dad walk me down isle???
Same as weddingbelle, my parents are still together and we are getting married in a Catholic church but there is no way I wouldn't have them both walk me down the aisle! I am so excited that more and more brides are doing this now. No way is my mom getting walked down by herself and stuck up front alone...she is going to be by my side down that whole aisle!!
