FMIL isnt clueless at all...but there are some people I speak to that are clueless about weddings and booking. Thats when I roll my eyes and walk away.

My Mom actually told me I was crazy yesterday when I told her I had 2 photographer appointments. I dont think anyone understands that vendors book up quickly

My FMIL is not clueless, just highly medicated and when she's off those meds, its like the devil has been released.

Mine is completely clueless.

She has no idea what weddings costs really are. She's telling me I'm getting ripped off. I told her price aren't what they were 15 years ago.

Mine doesn't care to know really. Her daughter is getting married in 09 and thats her main concern. Additionally she is paying for nothing and feels like her opinions don't matter so she shouldn't even bring up our wedding.

Funny you mentioned that, my mom called me crazy yesterday for the same thing...she kept on telling me I have time.

that sounds like my FMIL. she still thinks it's 1974. at least my mother knows it's 2008 and wedding stuff isn't cheap.
