I didnt buy my dress off the net but the place I did buy it my alterations cap at $150 with $10 per thing to hold up my bustle.

I only paid $150 for alterations at Creative Needle in Brooklyn...I had the whole dress taken in as well as shortened.

I bought my dress from David's bridal and I would not have let them sew a button on for me!! I found a seamstress that worked at Bridal Suite of Bayshore that works from her home to do my alterations. She really had to work on my dress...it was like 3 sizes too big! total that she charged me was $150.

I am not ordering my dress from the internet but the shop where I am ordering my dress gives me free alternations.

I am ordering my dress from Valentina's (in Brooklyn). If you spend over $1000, you get free alternations, slip, headpiece and veil.

I think it's DEF worth it, and at the same time it also depends on how much you are saving.. if it's a once in a lifetime, gotta get it now or miss out kind of situation, then go for it.. if you are only saving like 100 bucks, forget it.. those 100 bucks you'll have to spend on alterations anyway, you know?

my cap alterations cost 175.
