Basically someone you can get along with. One question, we asked when we were looking around was ' what was the most extreme wedding situation you had to deal with?' If they've handled some crazy situations then you know they're good.

But getting along with the DOC is very important, you want someone who will take care of you and your needs. You don't want a DOC that will do what he/she wants for your wedding.

i def wanted to make sure that i was comfortable with them (youll be with them the whollllleeee day) and that i was confident enough in her to get everything done for me, i also look for services offered and time restrictions set (which i hate, i feel like they wont do stuff for you if it goes over x amount of hours which i think is just dumb)
