That sounds so nice. We had one last Oct. in my parents backyard with a tent- thank goodness cuz it poured. But it was one of the only party's that people give to couples except if you have a joint shower which we're not doing. So it was nice to have people come up and congratulate you together on a day besides the wedding!

Congrats! I was so glad we had an engagment party too! We figured since we were having a long engagment, that it would be nice to celebrate the engagment. We had a backyard party with a tent and the food catered. It was the end of September and we lucked out the weather was amazing. Be sure to give us feedback after your party!
