I'm so sorry you have to deal with drama about your shower, it puts you in a very tough position because you aren't supposed to know, I don't really know what advice to give you, I know about financial troubles and its a $h!tty situation to have to be in, but maybe you should MOH speak to your bridal party about this, my MOH took the reigns on a lot of things for my shower and it ended up working much more smoothly.

my parents paid for my entire shower. NONE of MY BM offered to help chip in, and my mom was okay with that. She refused asking any of them to chip in a dollar, if they wanted to and they offered she would have let them.
