Money is always the route of all confusion, concern, stress, etc, in this world -- it's the #1 problem that usually causes arguments, fear, and sadness in relationships. It's completely normal you're going through this, but I'm sure knowing that doesn't help at all.
You're handling things in as healthy a way as possible, all things considered. It isn't at all easy to plan on a budget, especially when it's become more tight unexpectedly. It's hard to let caution to the wind and spend when you don't know where the money will come from at the end of the day.
I know you and your FH will figure out a way through this without being too far in the red, and without wanting to kill each other as you get there.
I wish I had more advice for you, but if there's anything I can do, please let me know! You are both such beautiful people who deserve all the happiness in the world and deserve to be enjoying this process, not fretting it. I'm so sorry this is going on right now.

I'm so sorry you are going thru this. I know how you feel my FH is a reckless spender too has been spending like theres no tomorrow while i penny pinch to save towards the wedding. I used to always fight him about his spending habits but that never brought us anywhere so i have managed to live with it. I can't really offer any solid advice but send some hugs your way

Re: I'm in a mood
I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time esp with the way the economy is nowdays. I understand how it can drive you nuts, my DH is the same way! He leaves a bunch of things all over the house. I always spend my time cleaning and organizing the house to have it flipped back the same way as if it never been cleaned. If I were to leave my keys or earrings in a corner of the drawer or coffee table, he accidently crushes my stuff with magazines, books or laptop that he leaves on top of it. One thing I learned when I lived with my DH for three years before getting married, guys will always have to be told what to do. Most guys are messy & clumsy. They will always have to be reminded not to leave things around and to clean up their mess. I understand, it's not fair we have to clean up after them after a long day from work and all you want to do is relax. Just toss out things if he leaves it lying around so he gets the point to pick up after himself esp if you told him once. If you have important things, don't chance it by leaving them on top of tables, drawers, etc. Keep them locked up in the closet or jewelry box, etc.
It seems like you're also having a very hard time communicating with FH. Try to get a third party like a counselor or someone you both know and trust. It's always better to have someone sit down with both of you to go through things as opposed to sitting down one and one if you already know FH 'doesn't get it'. This way you get it out of your system and your FH gets to tell his side of the story, the third person can remedy the situation and propose a solution w/o offending or angering each other as opposed to a one on one which can result in an argument. I know it's not easy but all relationships take work especially marriage. I agree with whole heartedly that it takes two person to make it work and one person alone can not do it by themselves. I wish you both the best and things will turn around when your big day comes! Keep hanging in there and be strong!
