Re: Would you write this email?? (A teensy bit long)

I would still invite her and with a guest (and that could be a good friend (male or female). But that is just me.

If I don't email her, I'm going to do that, thanks!

OMG No, do not send that email.

She must be going through a horrible time, I can't imagine how low something like this will make her feel....though I know this isn't your intention.

Invite her with a guest and give her the option to attend or not. She may be 'out of town' on your wedding and if that helps her save face then leave her that option. God forbid this happened to us, how would we feel- kwim?

Yeah I think it gets the point across, and you could also even add, if you still want to come and just don't want to come alone, i'm totally fine with you coming with a friend or your brother or whatever?

I would email her but I would just let her know that I was there for her. I wouldn't even mention the wedding. She is going through a rough time and that is probably all she can think about.

Though I have to say, I think your intention is super sweet....I just can imagine how sensitive this topic must be for her. It's like total hit or miss with this and if you 'miss' it will be a horrible reaction. JMO, but anyway- you're super sweet for understanding and trying to give her an out.

Oh yeah. that's nice.

I think I'm going to just email her and write that her friendship is more important to me, and I am not going to invite her ex anymore. Sound good?

Can you call her instead to tell her that? I don't know...things get lost in email sometimes.

It's up to you - either way telling her that he is SO not coming will be welcome news to her.

I say def. still invite her. Let her make the decision of not coming herself.

Thank you so much. I know this girl and i'm telling you that she doesn't want to come. So that just makes it hard for me to know if I should say something because I KNOW she wouldn't want to come. ya know?

Re: Would you write this email?? (A teensy bit long)

Please do not send her an email or approach her about it. It's just going to make her feel worse than she probably already does. If she doesn't feel up to it she'll let you know. Invite her with a guest and leave it at that. Don't push the issue.
