Re: Fly or Bye ?
Jenny, I was curious have you read what is involved with the butterfly release. I dreamed of having that until I read about it.

Re: Fly or Bye ?
PLEASE don't do the envelopes for anyone thinking of releasing them. My parents were at a wedding where there were about 200 or more people there and they were giving the butterfly envelopes- they said only about 10-15 actually were released- the rest had all apparently died I love the butterfly theme though - the wings sound cute

I think it's absolutely adorable. But read up on the butterflies. Maybe someone here has used them.

Re: Fly or Bye ?
I think that the day of the wedding your should put them in direct sunlight/warm room to wake them up. I read it on a website that sells them. I was thinking of the butterfly thing but it all seemed like there were too many rules. There were two different sites that I found both in Fla. I guess they ship them the night before. Good luck

You can do the wings without the butterfly release! I have heard many horror stories about dead butterflies! My flowergirl had wings and it was a big hit!

I'd have your FG wear wings. She will probably love it!
A friend of mine did a butterfly release as you described - no envelopes, basket w/tulle. It was beautiful and worked perfectly.
