Well we had no problems with people finding out where we were registered. Everyone it seemed either asked us straight out or some when they RSVP'd for the party asked my parents.

Don't forget people can go to the wedding channel and do a search there - (fortunoffs and bloomies was on there so people could easily find us) I'm almost positive that Macy's is on there to.
